LAst day 2d trip

This was a real mixed day. Went out for breakfast. Terry Karen and I talked about some possibilities for training SALLY for helping me with nightmares. Some real neat ideas came out of it. Looking forward to see how things turn out. We then went to the FPC and met with SALLY's two Inmate Trainers. I got to tell them about SALLY's reaction with the Pay Attention at the grocery store. What an incredible skill. A big thanks to all of those involved with SALLY's training. We spent the first part of the visit working the command I had learned the other days. I walked up and down the hall with SALLY and would stop on either end and receive a command to work with SALLY. She did outstanding!!!!!! She really made me look good. After a half hour or so we went back into the classroom and they showed me some of Sally's other skills. Things like opening and closing cupboards/ refrigerators. Turning lights on and off. Fetching items not only to me but she can take things to others. I got to see a stubborn streak when we had SALLY try and pick an ID up off of the floor. She couldn't quite get it but definitely not for a lack of trying. Afterwards I went back into a corner with SALLY and spent some time talking with her, and chillin with her. Had around 30-40 minutes and then we took off for this trip. I shook hands with everyone there. That may not sound like that big of a deal to most but Terry and I were the only 2 males there. There were a total of 6 of us in the classroom. I have had a problem with being scared of females and was able to shake their hands and say thank you. Baby steps. Thanks to all of the paws4people staff and trainers for a great week. It provided a much needed break that helped a lot.
